Anybody home?

I was also wondering about graduation...

Are we not all fit to walk on the hallowed UWI aisles along with our undergrad and post grad colleagues? Hmmm....

I'm still waiting for all the wonderful equipment that SEMP has promised. I hope it arrives soon.

Hope everyone is well....

Graduation

Hi folks:

I guess graduation is coming up soon, but I gather we would not be crossing the stage or shaking anyone's hand or being taped live on television. I did not get a package for the graduands, did anyonelse?

We need to talk to Paddington to get an answer as to why we were not included on the list.

By the way, how are we using the technology in our schools? Is equipment available yet? Did anyone see the list of computer equipment that schools are supposed to receive? Very extensive, but the question is when are we actually going to get the equipment and how is administration going to handle its distribution and administration. Waiting to finally see laptops in government schools.

Let me hear your thoughts folks and let's keep the site alive.

Tokens

Hello all. We had quite a productive meeting last week. A committee was formed to work out some issues re: establishing the organisation. Patricia took notes , if you need more detail she will be willing to provide same. The idea is to use this blogsite to communicate with each other.
We are collecting $30.00 per person in order to give gifts of appreciation to all those who were helpful to us on the course. If you were not there, someone will contact you, or call me at any of my numbers. The deadline is the 6th July. We hope to do our presentations on the 26th. when we hope you would all attend the meeting.
I know now is a busy time for teachers, but it will soon end.

Later, bye bye
Angela

Up and Running

Glad to see that people are actually taking this "Ed. Tech. Organisation" seriously and that we are well on our way to it becoming a reality. I truly hope the 'energy' remains and we explore this opportunity to it's fullest potential.

EdTech Body

By now most of us are excited about creating an arganisation that will have a positive influence on the Ministry of Education and ultimately on our schools. We need the following items for our organising body from you:
  • an official name
  • a logo
  • a name for our official website

Additionally at the meeting it was suggested that we share our teaching tools created for the practicum. This could be burnt on a CD or DVD where applicable and given to either Ayana at the UWI office or to Angela Iloo. This is towards building a bank of exciting teaching material for all our subject areas.

Hoping to see many of our award winning productions.
